Lead by JD Weatherspoon's 43 points (including a few slams) and Stian Mjøs' 32 points, hitting 7 of 10 from long-range, Bærum cruised to a 99-72 win in Vulkanhallen. Although Bærum never relinquished the lead after the first minute of play and lead by as much as 20 during the first half, it was unable to put Centrum away until quite late in the game. No doubt that Centrum felt the absence of Aksel Bolin, the team's 2nd leading scorer and leading rebounder. Centrum's Thomas Mjøs dropped in 15 of his 17 points in the first half which kept Centrum within striking distance at halftime. Play turned a bit sloppy in the 3rd quarter with a total of 13 turnovers being committed by both teams, a number of which were unforced. While BB lead by over 20 points earlier in the game, Centrum managed to get within 14 mid way through the 3rd period and again cut the lead to 14 with 6 minutes to play. Following some technical fouls by Centrum, Bærum finished the game with a late scoring flourish that provided the final margin of victory.

Bærum makes a return visit to league leader Kongsberg on March 2. The two teams met in January with the Miners emerging as winners 104-100 in a close, high tempo match and one of the best played games this year. Should Bærum win in Kongsberg, the team will move into first place, and in its final game at Rykkinn must win over Persbråten to finish in first. Take a trip to Kongsberg and treat yourself to a great game!
